All of our team members have a true love of animals. Each team member is certified in Pet Nutrition via a vigorous six week training program. In addition, continuing education in nutrition and pet health is provided monthly. Each team member has their own area of expertise and interest. Michelle Lonergan - Owner of Tabby & Jack's
Michelle has been an animal lover all of her life. Growing up she worked in her family's business as a groomer and learned much about animal nutrition and safety. She has continued to dedicate much of her time to learning as much as she can about natural and holistic forms of nutrition and healthy ways of improving pets' lives through better nutrition. Prior to opening Tabby & Jack's Michelle worked as a Business Banker; she decided to follower her heart and open Tabby & Jack's and the rest is history. Michelle not only works retail, but is also available for grooming. She is owned by Bella, a very docile Bermese Mt Dog, and Lucy, the boisterous small dog in charge.
Mandy P - General Manager
Mandy has been in the dog/pet industry for many years; working in doggie daycare and boarding facilities, and in pet training. She has had pets all her life, but has always had a true connection with dogs in particular. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison with a BA in Communications and has an MBA in Business from Ashford University out of Iowa. Her true love and passion for animals can be seen in her everyday attitude and smiley demeanor. She is owned by two rescues: Sally, a Border Collie mix, and Shayna, a German Shepherd/Husky mix. You can meet Mandy and her two singing mutts at either of the Tabby & Jack's locations.
Molly S - Team Member (Picture Coming Soon!)
Molly is a student at the UW Madison, going for her degree in Zoology. She aspires to become a veterinarian and is applying to MATC in the fall. Molly has a true passion for helping people and their pets to live happy, healthy lives. Stop in and test her knowledge! Molly works at both our Capitol Square and Fitchburg locations.
Maia S - Team Member
Maia began working for Tabby & Jack's in 2009 giving baths in the grooming salon. Since then she has worked off and on helping us out in retail over the summers and school breaks. She is currently a Freshman at Marquette University studying International Business with a minor in Spanish. Maia has had pets her whole life and currently has a Lab-Mix rescue named Madison and a cat named Sadie. She truly loves animals and that is why she just can't stay away! Come chat with Maia at our Fitchburg location.
Katie M - Team Member
Katie's love of pets and knowledge has been combined here at Tabby & Jack's. She loves finding solutions to odd or troublesome nutritional issues. She finds helping pets and their owners find solutions very rewarding. Katie is following her veterinary dreams: she works most of her hours as a lab technician and is attending school to complete her degree in Veterinary Medicine. Charlie, a vivacious young Bernese Mt Dog has claimed Katie as her own. Katie works most of the time at our Capitol Square Location.

The most important element in determining the quality of pet grooming is the experience and artistry of the groomer. Tabby & Jack's has 5 of madison's most experienced and talented groomers. Each of our groomers has ample experience in professional grooming. While each person tends to specialize in a breed or size, they each groom all breeds of dogs and cats with superior ability.
Kelsey - Kelsey is an artist by education and by heart and enjoys putting her skills to work on all breeds of dogs. Being a dog stylist is a great fit for her, bringing her love for art and dogs together. Kelsey graduated from the Wisc. School of Professional Dog Grooming evidenced by the terrific following she has built, Kelsey will cheerfully and patiently groom any dog or cat, providing a keen eye towards creativity and precision. Equally comfortable with large or small dogs, long hair or short, Kelsey's expertise is skillfully demonstrated across a wide range of dogs, from Golden Retrievers to Poodles, from Havanese to Bedlingtons. Kelsey's proficiency at scissoring and shaping makes her perfect for breeds where extra care is appreciated. Kelsey also works retail and is trained in pet nutrition and pet first aid certified!
Stephanie - Professional Dog and Cat Groomer. Grooming in Madison for over 8 years, Stephanie is in high demand for her incredible scissoring skills. She specializes in bichons, poodles and shih tzu's. Steph also specializes in cat grooming and owns 3 cats of her own. She is currently available at our Fitchburg location, and special requests at our Capitol Square location.
Elicia - Professional Dog and Cat Groomer (Primarily mobile grooming)
Elicia is our Mobile groomer travel to your home with our state of the art mobile grooming van. For over 7 years, she has established and maintained a loyal clientele that look forward to Elicia's incredible grooming skills. Her clients' pets happily enter the mobile van with confidence knowing Elicia will treat them with a gentle hand and warm heart. Because seniors and cats are more stressed with travel, they do particularly well in the mobile grooming van in Elicia's care. Elicia is also available instore on Saturdays and periodically during the week.
Elicia also works retail and is trained in pet nutrition and is pet first aid certified!
Michelle Lonergan - Professional Dog Groomer/Owner of Tabby & Jack's
Michelle has been grooming dogs since she was 14 years old. Her mother owned a holistic grooming business and taught Michelle how to groom, while creating a stress-free environment for her clients. After her mother retired from grooming, Michelle took over her mothers holistic grooming business until she set off for college. After a 15 year break, Michelle began grooming again when TJ's opened 4 years ago, and is enjoying her work for animals once again! Michelle leads the pack in nutrition and is pet first aid certified!

Hannah Lonergan:
Hannah is a 12.5 year old red Doberman Pincher that is as sweet as they
come. She was rescued from Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary in Rockford, IL
when she was 5 months old by the Lonergan family. She successfully
completed puppy kindergarden and obedience training both with high
honors. Furthermore, she has earned the Canine Good Citizen
Certification. She truly is the smartest dog I know! She is a seasoned
quality control manager and is responsible for the tasty foods and
treats at Tabby & Jack's that have passed her exquisite pallet and
high quality standards. Rest in Peace my sweet Hannah.
Bella Bear Lonergan: Valentine
Bella Bear is the one of the frequent canine greeters you will see when
you visit Tabby & Jack's She is a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog
from the Wagontales Kennels in Fort Collins, CO. She feels right at
home in the upper midwest where fun snowy days are plentiful. With Bella's great temperament and kind disposition, she has won the hearts of everyone she greets.
Sally Anne Penisten: Sally is a Border Collie Mix with many quarky behaviors. She was rescued from an abusive family, but if you have ever heard the saying "Who Rescued Who?" then you would know that Sally is one of those dogs who saved her owner just as much has her owner saved her. She is an attention hound! So when you come into the store be sure to lavish her with loves!
Shayna Marie Penisten: As can be seen by her picture, Shayna is the trouble maker of the Tabby & Jack's Team! She is a German Shepherd and Husky Mix with a LOVE for singing!!! Shayna spends her days sleeping in the sun or in one of the beds in the store and stealing chews from the shelf. When she is behaving, she likes to visit at St. Mary's Hospital; as she is a delta dog and part of their pet therapy team there.
